Recommendation It is recommended that ANZ Bankââ¬â¢s management should reconsider customer value proposition, reputation and security risk as a consequence of ANZ Bank recent outsourcing strategy. This report discusses three main issues that ANZ Bankââ¬â¢s management may have to consider if it is to enhance strength and core competency. Customer value proposition Firstly, as ANZ Bank has stressed that ââ¬Ëbecomes a super regional bankââ¬â¢ is a core strategy objective (ANZ 2012), ANZ will have to consider the potential effect for customer value proposition as a result of recent outsourcing strategy. It has been pointed that the problem of losing managerial control that may arise from outsourcing (RBA tells bank to go slowly 2012). However, even if there is a contract, it does not guarantee everything will operate smoothly. The level of legal and judicial environment will affect the effectiveness of contract (Nassimbeni, Sartor and Dus 2012). For example, Vodafone has been suffe red customer privacy leaks. It leads Vodafone faces penalties of up to $250,000 (Sydney Morning Herald 2011). Therefore, it is very important for ANZ Bank to consider security issue. Conclusion Therefore it can be concluded that ANZ Bank should reconsider customer value proposition, reputation and security risk in response to the recent outsourcing strategy. My Childhood Home Essay It is past 6:00 a. m. I am sitting on the terrace of my home watching the sunrise. The sun, almost a strange, a dark shade of orange semicircle, peeped itself over the top of the top of river Ganges, like a restless child at a window. The white sky turning its color to orange-white like a painter is painting the white canvas with orange color. The rays of the sun gradually shifting itself over the rooftop of a hut near the bank of Ganges. The cool breeze from the Indian Lilac and Jasmine tree crosses by hair and making my hair to run across my face. I can hear the chirping of the sparrow and cawing of the crow; all these different sounds of bird are like listening to the old music on the radio. I stand up and walk to the edge of the terrace, and I see two small girls running around the pool of red chilies on a white bed sheet that looked like a violent burning fire wanting to engulf everything around it. As I walk down through the spiral staircase I notice the grooves and furrows in the wall giving me the feeling of riding a bicycle in the valley. I can also hear the clattering sound of the utensils being washed by the maid in the kitchen. The dining area being in the open, reminisced the olden days when my grandpa and grandma loved eating under the starlit sky. There is a neem tree surrounding the dining area where I see the baby birds in the nest waiting to be fed. On the other side of the dinning area, the fan on the ceiling was turning like a Ferris wheel. The pink and white colors of the walls look like they crave for more vibrant colors. The old wooden cupboard standing alone in the dinning area with swirling designs that starts from the center of the cupboard and then moving out looks like a magical box waiting to be opened. As I enter the kitchen, I see bottles of different spices on the shelves reflecting the light coming through the window like light being reflected from a glistening water body. The utensils hanging on the hook seemed as they are dancing to the music of spattering oil on the frying pan. The aroma of the food and the fragrance of the spices all made my mouth watering to have it immediately. My mother, wearing a vermillion color saree with her hair tied in a bun, the mix-match of her green and golden colored glass bangles are distinctly visible on her hand, while she stirs the black beans curry. Walking towards the living room, I notice a room with no lock on the door. I enter into the room; the shades on the window have turned yellow with age. There is a small armchair that is set beside the bookcase stocked with old storybooks; a bed with heart-shaped back, two little red chairs and a yellow table. There is a white board with pink border on the left side of the bookcase. I remember my father bought it for me when I was 6. On this white board I learned how to write. The hand-made paintings on the wall all waiting to be revived by a mischievous group of children. This is my childhood room where I used to play with my brothers and sisters. This is the room where I used to spend my whole day playing with my cousins or just coloring the walls with whatever color I could get hold of. I can see the messages that I had written on the walls with the pencil. One of the messages says, ââ¬Å"Love you Mom and Dad ?. â⬠Stepping outside my childhood room, I walk towards my grandparentââ¬â¢s room. The room looks quiet and serene. In between the sofas, there is a circular dark brown color coffee table with a bowl full of water in which chrysanthemums are floating like lotus floating on lake water. The big red vase with yellow flowers is making me imagine that I am standing in farm full of mustard flowers during the summer and butterflies are dancing around me. Once I saw a scary movie on the television with lights off in the living room. After that I was always scared of going into the living room, when nobody was sitting in there, but now, I am not scared at all; the passing time has ended my fear. Small library in the left corner of the living room has two big bookcases with glass doors; grown old with time. The glass has lost its transparency; the leg of the bookcase has splintered showing the actual wood underneath the paint. The bookcases are stocked with both old and new editions of general knowledge books, encyclopedia, and novels by Chetan Bhagat, Hindi writers like Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Mahadevi Singh Verma etc. This is my fatherââ¬â¢s reading area, where nobody dares to disturb him, even now. In the backyard lemon tree has spread its branches in order to embrace the papaya tree, and the lemons on the lemon tree looked like yellow polka dots on a green fabric. The mix-match of red roses, poppy and chrysanthemum on one side and the mix-match of marigold, daffodil and orchid on the other side of the garden are giving it a joyful look. I notice a high-backed rocker in the right corner of the garden and a bench worn smooth by age on the other. There is a footpath that leads to a hand pump, somewhat rusty, but still providing a cool refreshing drink. Grandpa is pumping the hand pump to soak its rusty throat with water; it gurgles for a minute or two, then belches back a flood of sparkling spring water. My father in his favorite black t-shirt and white shorts is watering his favorite marigold plants. Working in the garden and reading books are the two my fatherââ¬â¢s favorite past time. I walk to my father to help him in his work. With time things change, but the old memories, almost making us wish we could move back in time to enjoy a few moments of peace and innocence. The laughter, the happiness, the small fights, the hiding of toys in secret places all over the house, the sharing of snacks, bedtime stories by my grandmother all make me feel nostalgic about this home. These things have always made me come back, and I always find my inner peace in all the chaos here at my home.

Us Involvement In World War Two America's involvement in World War Two When war broke out , there was no way the world could possibly know the severity of this guerre. Fortunately one country saw and understood that Germany and its allies would have to be stopped. America's Involvement in World War two not only contributed in the eventual downfall of the insane Adolph Hitler and his Third Reich, but also came at the precise time and moment. Had the united states entered the war any earlier the consequences might have been worse. Over the years it has been an often heated and debated issue on whether the united states could have entered the war sooner and thus have saved many lives. To try to understand this we must look both at the people's and government's point of view. Just after war broke out in Europe, President Roosevelt hurriedly called his cabinet and military advisors together. There it was agreed that the United states stay neutral in these affairs. One of the reasons given was that unless America was directly threatened they had no reason to be involved. This reason was a valid one because it was the American policy to stay neutral in any affairs not having to with them unless American soil was threatened directly. Thus the provisional neutrality act passed the senate by seventy-nine votes to two in 1935. On August 31, Roosevelt signed it into law. In 1936 the law was renewed, and in 1937 a ?comprehensive and permanent? neutrality act was passed (Overy 259). The desire to avoid ?foreign entanglements? of all kinds had been an American foreign policy for more than a century. A very real ?geographical Isolation? permitted the United States to ?fill up the empty lands of North America free from the threat of foreign conflict?(Churchill 563). Even if Roosevelt had wanted to do more in this European crisis (which he did not), there was a factor too often ignored by critics of American policy-American military weakness. When asked to evaluate how many troops were available if and when the United States would get involved, the army could only gather a mere one hundred thousand, when the French, Russian and Japanese armies numbered in millions. Its weapons dated from the first World War and were no match compared to the new artillery that Germany and its allies had. ?American soldiers were more at home with the horse than with the tank? (Overy 273). The air force was just as bad if not worse. In September 1939 the Air Corps had only 800 combat aircrafts again compared with Germany's 3600 and Russia's 10,000 . American military Aviation (AMA) in 1938 was able to produce only 1,800, 300 less than Germany, and 1,400 less than Japan. Major Eisenhower, who was later Supreme commander of the Allied forces in the second World War, complained that America was left with ?only a shell of military establishment? (Chapman 234 ). As was evident to Roosevelt the United states military was in no way prepared to enter this European crisis. Another aspect that we have to consider is the people's views and thought's regarding the United States going to war. After all let us not forget that the American government is there ?for the people and by the people? and therefore the people's view did play a major role in this declaration of Neutrality. In one of Roosevelt's fireside chats he said ?We shun political commitments which might entangle us In foreign wars...If we face the choice of profits or peace-this nation must answer, the nation will answer ?we choose peace' ?,in which they did. A poll taken in 1939 revealed that ninety-four per cent of the citizens did not want the united states to enter the war. The shock of World War one had still not left ,and entering a new war, they felt, would be foolish. In the early stages of the war American Ambassador to London was quoted saying ?It's the end of the world, the end of everything? ( Overy 261). Moreover, Krogstad initially appeared to be a vengeful and manipulative extortionist until he was reunited with his love, Mrs.à Linde, wherein he showed that he has a kind and generous heart. More importantly, Nora initially gave an impression that she was a selfish and foolish girl. However, it is soon discovered that Nora made a large sacrifice by secretly borrowing money in order to maintain their marriage. From the themes presented in the story, it can said that people are not always what they first appear to be. The story also showed that people can show their true colors when you least expect them to do so. Moreover, the story basically highlights the reality that wives in todayââ¬â¢s modern society, play a sacrificial and major role in a marriage, which is normally dominated by the husband. This was best illustrated by the marriage of Nora and Torvald, in which the latter refused to accept the fact that it was Nora who saved their marriage by secretly borrowing money when in fact it was his role as a husband to do so. In other words, the roles of women have evolved over the past years and they are no longer dominated by men.

Your time is torn between the keyboard and marketing yourself (not to mention your private life and whatever job is subsidizing your endeavors). Your time is money. Its ALWAYS money, so dont throw it away. So when you decide to get involved in any writing activity, you must be able to measure the return on investment. Whats it worth in terms of your annual income for you to get involved? Conferences Dont go without a mission. What will you bring home from this event? While youll make friends the purpose isnt social. Its business. What will you achieve here that makes it worth your money AND the time away from your writing? Is the conference too large for your taste? Do they provide answers to exact topics you need? Do you need an agent and do they provide one that fits your genre? Measure a conference from all angles before attending. Signings Will you be the only person at a poorly advertised event, selling three books in as many hours? Soccer Ball Lab Essay I. INTRODUCTION Speed, distance, time, and acceleration are all very complex formulas that are interdependent. These formulas are measured in motion data and used to determine the final instantaneous speed, distance, time, and acceleration. Distance and time are two formulas that are used to determine speed and time. For example, distance equals speed multiplied with time given, time equals distance divided by speed, and speed is equals distance divided time. Speed and time are required to determine acceleration. ( This is how they are an interdependent formula. ) These complex formulas will benefit you in situations , where as you are trying to find the missing equation value dealing with motion data. For example, in many situations, the problem gives information with only the values of time and distance. You are trying to solve for the speed in the given problem, so in order to determine the speed, youââ¬â¢d have to taken the given information and divide the time by distance. In other situations, you are trying to solve for acceleration, which only initial velocity, time, and acceleration are given. You would have to interrelate the given values and take the initial velocity and add it to the acceleration, multiplied by time, then your data and equations sum up to the final velocity. These formulas and equations, in particular, acceleration and speed, are related to Newtonââ¬â¢s first law of motion. This is also known as inertia, inertia is the resistance of any physical object to a change in its state of motion and rest, or the ability of an object to resist any change in its motion. Objects at rest will remain at rest if both acceleration and speed are equal to zero . Newtonââ¬â¢s first law of motion states ââ¬Å"An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.â⬠An unbalanced force is when 2 forces are not equal they work against each other. It acts upon an object, either opposite, or beside it. Depending on the situation, an unbalanced force can make an object either decelerate or accelerate. Friction is a common force that forcesà objects to decelerate. Now, acceleration is compatible with this situation because when an object is traveling at a certain speed, eventually it will slow down and stop. Inertia works with the situation, because inertia is a property of mass, meaning the larger the mass, the more inertia there is. Mass is a measurement of the amount of matter an object contains, therefore the larger the mass, the more the object resists its change of its state of motion and deceleration. All of these are interdependent and interrelated resulting in all the solutions to these complex equations dealing with motion and time. II.PURPOSE AND HYPOTHESIS The purpose of this lab is to determine whether a soccer ball will accelerate, decelerate, or travel at a constant speed when kicked from a certain distance to another. If a soccer ball is kicked from a certain place to another, while being timed, then the soccer ball will decelerate .This is because the incredible force of friction will work against the force moving the ball. The unbalanced force will cause the ball to decelerate and eventually stop. III.MATERIALS 1. (1) Stop watch 2. (2) Soccer Ball 3. (1) Chalk/ Marker- IVPROCEDURE 1. Position yourself at a designated, and marked place. These must be measured in units, in order to get an accurate description. 2. Stand in your designated area, until the soccer ball reaches it. 3. A straight line, that measured 10 meters was marked across with aà piece of chalk. The soccer ball was very soft and deflated to have a more accurate observation. VI.ANALYSIS AND CONCLUSION When the soccer ball was kicked, and measured, it traveled and eventually decelerated. Now, the ball decelerated, but not at a constant rate. It depended on various things in order to have taken the ball to either decelerate faster, or for the ball to have travel faster. But, in this case, the soccer ball accelerated very slightly on halfway to the 8 meter mark. This was due to friction and an unbalanced force, that took control of the 14 ounce soccer ball, and made it decelerate. The question, is why the soccer ball went at the speed, and not at a faster speed. Well, one person was chosen to kick the ball. The person, if they wanted to, could have either kicked the ball softly, or put more pressure into kicked it. If more people were selected to kick the soccer ball, the amount of force exerted on the ball might have been different. The factors that determine the speed the ball are the amount of force initially exerted on the ball and the unbalanced force. In this case, it was frict ion that acted upon the ball. VII.DISCUSSION Although, the group remained and recorded many accurate results, there were some complications. When conducting the lab, some people at other designated spots pressed their stop watches too early, resulting in different results. Another error that might have occurred, is that too much force was exerted on the soccer ball, when kicked. This could have resultedà in the soccer ball traveling at a faster rate. Either that that, the most observations and results were accurate.

Success or failure in distribution depends on how carefully and continuously you manage this function to make sure your distribution partners are doing the job that is expected. When distribution is not a core competency for your company and you do not have the resources to make it one, outsourcing the function can help your company grow by allowing you to focus on your mission-critical activities. There are two types of outsourcing that are common among start-ups ââ¬â traditional distribution and drop ship fulfillment (DSF). Traditional distribution outsourcing involves hiring a third party to store and distribute your products through its national or international distribution network; this party provides the staff, warehouses, distribution center and transportation fleet. The second type of outsourcing, DSF, has grown in parallel with B2C retailing over the Internet. With DSF, a start-up company sells a product, charges the customer, generates a purchase order, and sends the PO to the manufacturer or supplier, who then fulfills the order by shipping the product directly to the customer. Since the start-up never possessed the product, the company does not incur any of the costs associated with storing or purchase the product. Many Internet start-ups have adopted this streamlined business model. Unfortunately, companies need to be careful when choosing an outsourcing partner. Outsourcing is not a panacea ââ¬â if your third-party distributorââ¬â¢s procedures and performance are not carefully monitored, you risk permanently alienating the customers you have worked so hard to attract. The key to a successful outsourcing relationship includes understanding the process, specifying objectives, establishing internal procedures for evaluating performance against objectives, and deploying systems that help to manage the function effectively. Watching Costs and Service If the manufacturer or distributor, which may be the same company, fulfills the customerââ¬â¢s order correctly, everyone is happy. However, in most cases, there are problems in one or more of these key areas: à · Customer service ââ¬â Another company may be distributing your products, but ultimately you are responsible for the customer relationship. True, your company does not have direct control over the distribution process, but the customer only cares about receiving the product ââ¬â not who sent it or how it got there. If something goes wrong, you are responsible and must do what is necessary to correct the situation. Shipping costs ââ¬â Most manufacturers are setup to ship truckloads or pallets of products, not multiple orders of a single product. There are also manufacturers that require you to purchase more products you need, others set ridiculously high prices for the service, and some simply will not ship the orders. In some cases, start-ups are ââ¬Å"kittingâ⬠a number of products, not because it adds value for the customer, but because it pushes the dollar value of their order above a threshold where the manufacturer will agree to DSF the products. Profitability ââ¬â Shipping costs directly affect your bottom line. Many start-ups are passing along the manufacturerââ¬â¢s shipping costs to their customers, raising the price of their products and putting themselves at a disadvantage in a competitive market. If the start-up does not pass along the entire cost, the shipping expense cuts into the profitability of every transaction. Getting Automated Help Successfully managing a third-party distributor requires establishing internal monitoring processes and requiring that specific employees are responsible for this function. These employees should also be responsible for developing and deploying computer systems to help automate the management function. Here are five critical requirements for your outsourcing relationship with your distributor: à · Establish measurable standards for distributor performance. à · Conduct periodic performance reviews. à · Visit distributor sites to check security procedures (only if the start-up owns the inventory). à · Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels. à · As sales volume grows, periodically revisit the decision to outsource the distribution function. The right computer system can improve your ability to manage the distribution function in three areas: à · Communication ââ¬â To allow you to automate communication with your suppliers and manufacturers, you must establish a back-end system. This means that you should not rely just on basic email, generated by an employee, to track orders. For example, you send the supplier an email to check on a backlogged product, someone then emails you back with a response, and finally you re-key the information into your system ââ¬â imagine a handful of employees checking 500 products. To be more efficient, you need a system that will scale this function as your volume expands and will use automated email, fax, Web portals and/or EDI to communicate order information. à · Visibility ââ¬â You must know if a product is available before it is sold, and you cannot know this until you view your supplierââ¬â¢s inventory to find out how much product you have been allocated and what is available. To do this, you need an application that provides you with visibility into your supplierââ¬â¢s inventory tracking system. Track and Trace ââ¬â Customers want to know the status of their order: When was it shipped, where is it now, and when will I get it? If you want to retain customers, you need to be sure your computer system helps you manage returns, exchanges and refunds efficiently. A consulting organization that specializes in distribution and transportation can help you setup effective internal processes and, if necessary, build and deploy the computer systems you need to manage an outsourced distribution function for maximum benefit. Part of a consultantââ¬â¢s value can be in the area of knowledge transfer, educating your organization on how the distribution and transportation function works at the macro level and helping you set realistic expectations.
